Why I Replaced Our E-Signature Stack With a $25 AI-Built Alternative
After years of paying for PandaDoc, SignRequest, and DocuPilot, I built RevSign: a self-hosted e-signature system tailored to the exact workflows our property management company actually needs.
It seems that no one is satisfied with their e-signature provider. They’re all either too expensive or lacking features (or both). At my PM company, we’ve been using both PandaDoc and SignRequest for years, because neither of the two options (nor any other provider) can provide everything we need for all e-signature use cases. On top of this, because neither of these options has good conditional document creation, we have been using DocuPilot to create many documents first before sending them to the e-signature solution. This means we’ve been paying over $2,500/year just to get documents generated and signed.
Well, those days are officially over. Using AI vibe-coding, I’ve created our own e-signature replacement that I’ve called “RevSign”. It does everything we’ve ever needed all of these other softwares to do, all in one package, and the total cost to build it, a one-time cost, was somewhere around $25 of tokens.
